BLASH,The Trade Club at IIFT
An acronym for Buy Low And Sell High, the International Trade Club at IIFT is one of
the oldest student driven clubs in the college and has the track record of attracting
the highest membership in all student batches till date. The club aims to bring
together people who wish to make a career in Trade and provides a platform to them
to interact and learn dimensions of international trade beyond the regular classroom
learning, helping in broadening their horizons. BLASH is also the focal point of
external engagement with organizations from the domains of Commodity Trading,
International Logistics, Structured Trade Finance and related spheres.
The important activities of the club are:-
- TradeWinds :– Magazine which summarizes all latest happenings in world of
international trade from across the world with original articles submitted by students
of IIFT, faculty, alumni and other eminent personalities from the corporate.
Papers & Publications By IIFT Students - Club Meetings – Held to provide platform to students to get together and share the knowledge they have among each other.
- Workshops – Eminent speakers from the industry are invited to speak on topics related to trade and international business.
- International Trade Conclave – Held in Singapore/Dubai to discuss global issues at a level where they impact the most.
- Competitions – The club organizes intra and inter college competitions like the coveted Commodity Analysis Challenge.
- Live Projects – Practical application of knowledge is equally necessary. Members are given live projects from government organizations, corporates and associations by the club.
