About the Programme
With the introduction of weekend MBA (International Business) programme, IIFT added a new dimension to its role in the field of professional education by making available to working executives the Institute’s well established MBA (IB) programme in the weekends. This programme is a replica of the day programme in term of course contents.

Port Visit
The Port visit organized by the Institute covering organizations and institutions connected with international business promotion and facilitation is intended to provide the students an opportunity to get insights into the operational aspects of these organisations. This is an integral part of the Programme.
The course carries 4 credits. Failure to adhere to the field visit schedule would automatically result in “F” grade in the concerned component. No degree will be awarded if Port Visit is not successfully completed. Travel and stay costs associated with port visit will be borne by the students.
Research Project
In the third year, students undertake a Research Project of 3 credits based on their sectoral specialization. The evaluation of the Research Project will be done as any other course. Detailed guidelines on undertaking these projects and their evaluation procedure will be given to the students at the time of assigning the projects.
Candidates who fail to clear the Research Project will not be eligible for award of degree. In case any failure on the part of the candidate, the research project should be started afresh, following the due procedure.

- Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University or Institution with three-year work experience (after graduation) in managerial cadre.
