With this the IIFT figures amongst the Top 5% Business Schools of the world to be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). AACSB accreditation quality assurance system is based on 9 rigorous standards that assess mission, strategy, student learning and engagement, academic and professional engagement, and innovation in leadership and teaching.

IIFT has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A+’ Grade in its 3rd cycle in 2023. The NAAC accreditation process is rigorous and evaluates various aspects of an institution, including curricular innovation, teaching quality, research output, infrastructure, student support, leadership, institutional values, and global exposure, all while ensuring continuous improvement and sustainability.

IIFT has been accredited by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) as "Ati Uttam" (अति उत्तम) Central Training Institute under CBC’s National Standards in 2023. A delegation from the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) and the NABET-National Accreditation Board for Education and Training carried out a comprehensive assessment visit to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi campus in December 2023. Their assessment encompassed a thorough examination of various dimensions, including the institution's infrastructure, faculty capabilities, curriculum structure, and the efficiency of overall educational processes.
