About MDPs
Management Development Programs (MDPs) have been a cornerstone activity of the Institute since its inception in 1963. From the outset, the Institute envisioned becoming a centre of excellence for Executive Development Programs in International Business. Today, after more than six decades of dedicated service, it has established itself as a premier knowledge resource division, catering to the professional development needs of officers, managers, and executives at all levels. Our reach spans across the corporate, government, and public sectors, both within India and internationally.
The primary objective of our MDPs is to offer participants a valuable platform to engage with experienced faculty and fellow professionals, fostering the exchange of ideas that helps crystallize key concepts for enhanced decision-making. These programs enable business executives to explore new knowledge frontiers, refine their skills, and empower their organizations to achieve greater success.
Participants in our open programs include officers and executives from various government ministries and departments, corporate entities, trade facilitation agencies, export promotion organizations, and entrepreneurs.
The division engages experts from the government, trade facilitating institutes, banking sector, logistics, corporate sector and a variety of technical experts to complement the research and expertise of in-house faculty.
Besides, the Division offers specialized training in trade and business negotiations under the aegis of Centre for International Negotiations that functions within the Division.

Since 1963, our Institute has been committed to fostering excellence in Management Development Programs with a special focus on International Business and related areas. Over the past six decades, we have grown into a distinguished knowledge hub, dedicated to the continuous learning and professional growth of officers, managers, and executives from diverse sectors across India and abroad.

Find answers to common queries about Post Graduate Programme in Management (Internation Business) - Full Time
Open Programs are scheduled training programs available to individual participants from various organizations, allowing cross-industry learning and networking.
Sponsored Programs are customized and conducted exclusively for a specific organization, tailored to their training needs, and delivered on mutually agreed dates and location.
Open Programs are open to executives, officers, managers, and entrepreneurs from government, public, and private sectors.
Sponsored Programs are intended for employees nominated by the sponsoring organization, including government officials, PSU executives, or corporate professionals.
Both Open and Sponsored Programs are short-duration, generally ranging from 2 to 15 days, depending on the topic and objectives
Key focus areas include International Business, Export-Import Management, Trade Policy, Supply Chain & Logistics, Leadership & Strategy, Digital Transformation, Finance, and Negotiation Skills. Customized topics are offered in Sponsored Programs as per client needs.
For Open Programs, interested individuals can register through the IIFT website or by contacting the MDP Division.
For Sponsored Programs, organizations can initiate a request by formally contacting IIFT with training requirements, based on which a customized proposal is developed.
